Sunline Debuts to demonstrate AI-Native Core Modernization and Global Deployment Milestones at CAEXPO 2026
NANNING, September 17, 2026 - Sunline takes its debut at The 23rd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) to showcase its latest portfolio for core banking modernization, data intelligence, and AI-native software engineering.
With financial institutions across the region navigating the shift toward autonomous, AI-first operations, the event highlights how modern core infrastructure, governed data platforms, and intelligent engineering lifecycles are converging to support digital transformation and cross-border financial innovation.

Core Modernization in Practice: Proven Resilience in ASEAN Markets
For many financial institutions, legacy system inflexibility and tightening compliance requirements remain primary bottlenecks. To address this, Sunline highlighted its SunCBS V9 intelligent core solution, architected on a cloud-native "one platform, dual-core" model that unifies transaction processing with real-time data capabilities.
The company shared practical deployment milestones from the ASEAN region, illustrating tailored approaches to platform modernization:
· Mainframe Offloading at Scale: Sunline executed a comprehensive legacy migration for a dank from Thailand, replacing mainframe dependencies with a distributed architecture capable of supporting a 200-million-customer scale.
· Resilience via Multi-Active Architecture: Sunline deployed a cell-based, multi-active architecture for a bank from Singapore. This approach resolved data silos and innovation bottlenecks inherent in legacy setups, utilizing canary deployments and full-stack automation to significantly enhance IT system stability and operational resilience under high-concurrency transaction loads.

DataMind: Transitioning to AI-First Data Operations
As the industry moves beyond basic AI-assisted tools toward AI-first architectures, data management paradigms are shifting from foundational processing to deep knowledge operations and autonomous agent execution.
During a thematic forum on AI in financial services, Shen Hao, General Manager of the Data Solutions Department at Sunline, outlined DataMind, Sunline’s AI-native data management platform with integrated data and AI capabilities. Its three-tier decoupled architecture separates foundational data and AI capabilities, standardized reusable business components, and lightweight intelligent services for business scenarios. By combining this architecture with an agent engine grounded in banking domain expertise, DataMind redefines the data management model and gives banks at every stage of digital maturity a practical path to AI-first operations.

DataMind has embedded AI agents into DataOps pipelines, enterprise-wide data governance, business decisioning, real-time transaction fraud detection, and AI-enabled marketing. These live deployments validate the platform's value in three areas that matter most to bank executives: operational efficiency, risk control, and business enablement.
Governing AI in Mission-Critical Engineering
For most banks, the hardest part of core system modernization is not writing the code, but to manage the complexity of cross-domain changes in core banking systems. A single regulatory adjustment, such as a new limit control on deposit account opening, can ripple across customer identification, product eligibility, account opening, transaction processing, EOD accounting, and regulatory reporting. In conventional development models, fragmented system knowledge makes these chains difficult to trace, so omissions and partial changes become a standing operational and compliance exposure.
To address this, Liang Yansui from Sunline R&D Center introduced Luban, an AI-Native Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) platform designed specifically for core banking iterations. Built on a three-tier architecture comprising the TCR code knowledge asset platform, the AIS Agent foundation, and scenario-based delivery frameworks, Luban ensures end-to-end traceability.

Luban is built on a security governance principle: AI executes, humans decide. By implementing four mandatory human-in-the-loop review gates, including spanning business analysis, architecture, development, and testing, it is able to mitigate the risks of autonomous AI execution. Furthermore, business rules, delivery templates, and test evaluation generated during the process are continuously captured as enterprise knowledge assets, reducing change-related risks and accelerating time-to-market.
Strategic Outlook for ASEAN and Global Markets
From business-side data intelligence to engineering-side SDLC automation, Sunline is connecting people, knowledge, and data into an auditable and reusable AI operating model. As the ACFTA 3.0 framework accelerates regional integration, Sunline remains committed to empowering banks across ASEAN and beyond. By focusing on core modernization, applied AI, and cross-border innovation, we are partnering with the ecosystem to build the resilient, inclusive digital financial infrastructure of the future.
